Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

DevSnap is designed as an on-device developer utility. DevSnap does not collect, sell, or share personal data.

Information DevSnap Handles

DevSnap may process the following content only when you choose to provide it:

  • Camera captures you take inside the app
  • Images you select from Photos
  • Text or images you paste from the clipboard
  • Code snippets, logs, stack traces, and related text extracted from those inputs

This content is used to recognize text, clean formatting, detect code language, show results, and save local history on your device.

On-Device Storage

DevSnap can save recent snippets locally on your device so you can reopen them later. You can clear history from inside the app.

DevSnap also stores app preferences, such as formatting settings, using local device settings storage.

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, DevSnap may use Apple Intelligence features available on the device to refine OCR output. Core OCR and formatting work without Apple Intelligence.

Network and Accounts

DevSnap does not require an account. The current app does not use a DevSnap server to upload or process your snippets.

Permissions

Camera permission is used to scan code from images you capture.

Photos permission is used to let you choose screenshots or images to process.

Clipboard content is read only when you use the paste action.
